Timeline
Sept 2022 - April 2023
Key Projects
Enhance UX accessibility guidelines
Redesign SAP internal training platform
Manage release of new cloud features
UX DESIGN PROJECT #1: ENHANCE DESIGN SYSTEM + ACCESSIBILITY GUIDELINES
One of the initiatives that I was involved in was to enhance the design system on Figma to ensure that it follows SAP’s newest UI theme: Morning Horizon. In particular, I helped improve the UX accessibility guidelines by defining a new colour system that meets accessibility standards for colour contrast.
UX DESIGN PROJECT #2: IMPLEMENT FILTERS
Problem: The existing internal course training platform displays all courses on a webpage without a feature that can filter the courses based on topic. The addition of a filtering feature can streamline the user experience of the webpage and allow users to find a course that can suit their interests.
Key Improvements:
Addition of a filter that opens up with a dropdown menu that allows users to pick courses based on topics of interest
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT: SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD
Working in product management has allowed me to learn how to support an agile development process by working with UX designers, software developers and other product managers. My role consists of:
Documenting feature requirements to write user stories
Analyzing and addressing customer feedback to streamline product quality assurance
Prioritizing a backlog of features
Conducting demonstrations of new features to internal and external stakeholders
Performing market research and discovering gaps in product strategy
Maintaining a product roadmap
A crucial project that I became involved with was managing the launch of a unified cloud platform, which is a complete redesign of SAP Analytics Cloud. The new platform improves the usability and performance of the existing cloud platform, providing enhanced analytic capabilities and a more seamless end-to-end user experience.
During my internship, I’ve helped ship over 40 features. A few of the features that are now publicly available for Q4 2022 includes:
Users can apply various hierarchies into chart visualizations:
Within charts, improvements have been made to make it easier to manage, create, and edit custom groups:
Users can now use templates and layouts to create visualizations in dashboards:
Dashboards are now supporting customizations via settings in Story Preferences:
